Ability to restrict certain account code strings to maintain data integrity

I would like to have the ability to restrict certain account code strings that are not feasible in my organization.  For example an account for the Medical Department at a site that only provides Dental Services should not be allowed to be entered in MIP.  Or an account for Advertising in the Cost Pool source fund should not be allowed since Advertising is not an allowable expense in the Cost Pool source fund.

Yes, account code combination management is a popular feature in MIP because it allows granular control over transaction entry and OMB A-133 compliance.

Thank you for your feedback and best wishes!

Look into the Account Code Combination Edit feature of the software. It sounds exactly like what you seek. You can assign them as either valid or invalid. In your case, as in most, invalid is probably the best choice.
